A fix for the interoperability issues between Exchange 2007 and 2010 EMC and IE9 is now available
Enabling Forms-based Authentication for OWA 2010 Users in Exchange 2010 published using Forefront TMG 2010 (Part 4)
In part 3 of this multi-part article, where I walk you through how to enable forms-based authentication for external and internal Outlook Web App 2010 (OWA 2010) users where Exchange 2010 is published using Forefront TMG 2010, we, depending on the Exchange topology and namespaces used for each Exchange service, fixed the Exchange services we broke back in part 2. With part 3, we ended up with the behavior require by the organization, when it comes to accessing OWA and ECP from an internal client.
In this part 4, we’ll continue where we left of in part 3. We’ll look at the current behavior we have for OWA/ECP and talk about how we want to load balance OWA/ECP for external users going through Forefront TMG 2010. Finally, we’ll import the respective SAN certificate on the Forefront TMG 2010 Servers.

Enabling Forms-based Authentication for OWA 2010 Users in Exchange 2010 published using Forefront TMG 2010 (Part 3)
In part 2 of this multi-part article, where I walked you through how to enable forms-based authentication for external and internal Outlook Web App 2010 (OWA 2010) users where Exchange 2010 is published using Forefront TMG 2010, we created and configured the new web site and the OWA/ECP virtual directories. We also re-configured the HTTPS virtual service on the load balancers, so that it pointed to the IP address associated with the new web site. Finally, we verified that access to the new OWA and ECP virtual directories worked as expected.
In this part 3, we’ll continue where we left off in part 2. We will fix the services, depending on the Exchange topology and namespaces used for each Exchange services we have broken back in part 2.

Enabling Forms-based Authentication for External and Internal OWA 2010 Users in Exchange 2010 published using Forefront TMG 2010 (Part 2)
In part 1 of this multi-part article, where I walk you through how to enable forms-based authentication for external and internal Outlook Web App 2010 (OWA 2010) users where Exchange 2010 is published using Forefront TMG 2010, we first had a look at the lab environment used. Then, we changed the authentication method from FBA to basic and integrated authentication on the OWA and ECP virtual directories under the Default Web Site. Lastly, we added an additional IP address to each of the four Exchange 2010 multi-role servers in the environment.
In this part 2, we’ll continue where we left of in part 1. We will begin by creating a new web site on each Exchange 2010 multi-role servers. Then we’ll create and configure a new OWA and ECP virtual directory underneath the new web site. Finally, we’ll change the HTTPS virtual service on each load balancer so that it points to the new IP address assigned to the new web site.

Enabling Forms-based Authentication for External and Internal OWA 2010 Users in Exchange 2010 published using Forefront TMG 2010 (Part 1)
Organizations that have deployed or are planning to deploy Exchange 2010 into their Active Directory forest usually want to allow remote and/or mobile users to access their mailbox from outside the corporate network using one or more Exchange protocols/services. More specially, the organization wants to allow users to access their mailbox using Outlook Anywhere (OA), Outlook Web App (OWA) and Exchange ActiveSync (EAS).
However, for security reasons many of these organizations have a security policy that states any remote or mobile users must pre-authenticate against a reverse proxy solution located in the perimeter network before they are permitted access to a service on the internal corporate network. There are several reverse proxy solutions that support pre-authentication for Exchange users but the most popular is without doubt Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010 (Forefront TMG 2010).

Planning, Deploying, and Testing an Exchange 2010 Site-Resilient Solution sized for a Medium Organization (Part 13)
In part 12 of this multi-part article, we simulated a datacenter failure and went through the steps necessary to activate the Exchange services in the failover datacenter. We also looked at how a datacenter switchover affects our Exchange clients.
In this part 13 which is the last article in this multi-part article (yes you heard that right) I’ll take you through the steps necessary to switch Exchange services back to the primary datacenter.

Planning, Deploying, and Testing an Exchange 2010 Site-Resilient Solution sized for a Medium Organization (Part 12)
In part 11 of this multi-part article, we simulated a Client Access server failure and saw how Exchange clients were affected by this type of failover. Then we initiated a database switchover of all databases on EX01 to a server in the failover datacenter and observed how this affects the Exchange clients.
In this part 12, I’ll simulate a datacenter failure and take you through the steps necessary to activate the Exchange services in the failover datacenter. We’ll also look at how a datacenter switchover affects our Exchange clients.
Fortsæt her.
