Windows 2008 & Exchange 2007 ESE backups
Flere af jer er sikkert allerede klar over man med Windows 2008 ikke kan benytte det indbyggede backup program til at tage ESE backups. Dvs. du ikke kan schedule en online backup af Exchange 2007 Mailbox databaser lokalt på en Windows 2008 baseret Exchange server.
Det betyder ofte du skal ud og investere i DPM eller et 3 part produkt, hvilket er en smule ufedt på SMB'ere. Det er der en der har gjort noget ved! Det går basalt set ud på du kopierer NTBackup.exe samt tilknyttede filer fra en Windows 2003 server til Windows 2008 serveren, og tager backup'en med det gode gamle NTBackup tool. Problemer med mail flow fra en Edge Transport til en Hub Transport server?
Og har du en ISA 2006 Server stående og publisere SMTP mellem disse servere? Virker EdgeSync fint? Virker outbound mail flow? Ryger mail sendt fra Edge Transport til Hub Transport i en SMTP kø med en fejl 500 5.1.1 Unrecognized Command Error?
Så er det garanteret fordi du ikke har fået deaktiveret SMTP filteret på SMTP reglen på ISA Serveren. Læs mere om dette issue som jeg selv er stødt på et par gange her:

Ingen Domain Rename med Exchange 2007
Det har hidtil være unsupported at rename et domain med Exchange 2007 nu kommer der så en post hvor der står det heller ikke er nogle planer om at lave et tool til at hjælpe med det som man kender fra 2003 , samt at single level domains i E14 vil være unsupported.
Så hvis man er indehaver af en single level domain og overvejer Exchange 2007 skal man lige læse artiklerne igemmen en ekstra gang.
"The possibility of creating a domain rename fixup tool for Exchange 2007, similar to the one that was written for Exchange 2003, was discussed internally. The decision is that there will not be a similar tool written for Exchange 2007"

Endelig : Kør 2 outlook clients side by side
Advarsel Det er unsupported fra Microsoft at køre 2 outlook klienter på samme klient maskine, samt der naturligvis ikke er en garanti for applikationer downloadet, men det virker på min maskine.
