Creating Custom Exchange 2007 Management Consoles

One of the things that have changed drastically with Exchange Server 2007 is the way in which you manage recipients (or user mailboxes as they are called in Exchange 2007). As most of us are aware, recipients were managed via the Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) MMC snap-ins back in Exchange 2000 and 2003, however with Exchange 2007, the recipient management tasks have been integrated back into the Exchange Management Console and removed from ADUC! (This means things looks like they did prior to Exchange Server 2000). In addition to performing the recipient tasks using the Exchange Management Console, you of course also have the option of using the Exchange Management Shell, which is perfectly suited for performing bulk user changes typically using one-liners (single line commands).

Så fik jeg endelig taget 70-649 Testen

Tog idag 70-649 MS testen dvs.

- Windows Server 2008 Compare Editions
- Changes in Functionality from Windows Server 2003 with SP1 to Windows Server 2008
- Windows Server 2008 Security Guide
- GPO artikler i Technet Magazine - Januar 2008

Overview
Transporter Suite contains a set of tools for migrations from both Lotus Domino Servers, and generic IMAP/POP sources. For Lotus Domino the suite contains a set of tools for Directory and Free/Busy interoperability between Lotus Domino 6 or 7 and Exchange Server 2007 and Windows Server 2003 Active Directory. In addition for Lotus Domino the suite contains migration tools to migrate users, groups, personal address lists, mailboxes, personal mail archives, and applications from Lotus Domino 5, 6 or 7 to Active Directory, Exchange Server 2007, and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. For generic POP/IMAP servers the suite contains a set of tools to bulk migrate mailboxes from any generic email servers that support the POP3 or IMAP4 protocol to mailboxes in Exchange Server 2007.

Q&A: Microsoft Courts Lotus Switchers with New Migration Tools

Microsoft Corporate Vice President Chris Capossela outlines new resources designed to help customers transition to Microsoft’s unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) platform and the impact this business is having on the company’s bottom line.

REDMOND, Wash., Jan. 20, 2008 -- Companies are making the switch to Microsoft’s unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) platform to help increase employee productivity, reduce IT costs and improve business processes. Microsoft and its industry partners are working to make the transition even easier. The release of an updated version of Microsoft Transporter Suite for IBM Lotus Domino along with powerful tools from Microsoft partners are easing the transition process for customers moving to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server from IBM Lotus Notes and Domino.

PressPass caught up with Chris Capossela, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Business Division, to go behind the scenes and understand first hand what’s driving the transition and what is fueling this trend.

Video: Exporting Mailbox Data to a PST File in Exchange 2007 SP1

"This video explains how you can export Mailbox data to a PST file using the enhanced Export-Mailbox cmdlet in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1. ".

Uncovering the New Export List feature in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1

It is no secret that Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) introduces many new GUI features to the Exchange Management Console User interface (UI). I’ve already covered many of the new features as well as any improvements to existing UI features in previous articles of mine. In this article, we’ll look at just another new and very useful UI feature included in Exchange 2007 SP1, and that’s the new Export List feature. The Export List feature allows us to export lists from the Result and or Work pane in the Exchange Management Console, Public Folder Management Console, Details Templates Editor, and the Queue Viewer.

Windows Mobile 7 screenshots and details - leaked

Så lige denne på MSMobiles.com:

In February 2008, during Mobile World Congress 2008 (a global event for professionals, not consumers), Microsoft will unveil publicly Windows Mobile 6.1 that is a minor upgrade to current Windows Mobile 6.

However the really big deal will be Windows Mobile 7. The first phones with Windows Mobile 7 will go on sale in 2009 but already now you can learn (almost) everything about it (including hint that it will support multi-touch!):

Windows Mobile 7 will use touch gestures, similar to how the iPhone does. You will be able to flick through lists, pan, swipe sideway, draw on the screen. A lot of emphasis has been put on making navigation easier and doing away with scrollbars, including a new scroll handle that allows for multiple ways of finding items extremely fast.

Windows Mobile 7 will use motion gestures, something the iPhone does not. It will not use an intricate and complicated series of gyroscopes and accelerometers. Instead, it will use the camera on the phone to detect motions and create appropriate actions. You will be able to shake, twist and otherwise manipulate the phone and get things done. The phone will be able to perform actions when placed face down on a surface, and it will know when it is in your pocket or bag.
